New Delhi: The World Test Championship has started today at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground in England. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and invited Australia to bat first. Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja came to the field to start Australia’s innings but were desperate for a single run in the first 3 overs. After this, Kagiso Rabada badly shook Australia’s top order by taking 2 wickets in his one over. Rabada sent Usman Khawaja (0) and Cameron Green (0) to the pavilion in the 7th over of the Australian innings.

Rohit Sharma and Kumar Sangakkara left behind:
After Australia lost 2 wickets for 16 runs, Marnus Labuschagne tried to handle the innings along with Steve Smith but Marco Jansen gave Australia the third blow. Jansen sent Labuschagne back to the pavilion on a personal score of 17 runs. After Labuschagne was out, Travis Head came to the crease but could not do anything special. Head became the victim of Jansen in the 24th over after scoring just 11 runs. Head may not have done wonders with the bat but in this short innings, he left behind legendary batsmen like Rohit Sharma and Kumar Sangakkara.

Travis Head reached second place:
In fact, before the WTC final, Travis Head had 318 runs in 3 innings in the final of the ICC tournament, but as soon as he completed 3 runs, he surpassed Kumar Sangakkara in terms of scoring the most runs in the ICC final. After this, he became the second highest run scorer in ICC finals by surpassing Rohit Sharma as soon as he scored 6 runs. Now Travis Head has scored 339 runs in 4 innings in ICC finals and now he is targeting Virat Kohli’s record. Let us tell you, Kohli is the highest run scorer in ICC finals. He has scored 411 runs in 11 innings. Head needs 83 runs to break Kohli’s record. If a big innings comes from Head’s bat in the second innings, then Kohli’s record can be shattered.

Most runs in ICC finals:
411 – Virat Kohli (11 innings)
329 – Travis Head (4 innings)
322 – Rohit Sharma (11 innings)
320 – Kumar Sangakkara (7 innings)
270 – Mahela Jayawardene (7 innings)
