A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, in Delta State, Jesutega Onokpasa, has passed away.
It was gathered that Mr. Onokpasa died on Monday, and his demise was announced on Tuesday, by a popular X user, identified as Okezie Atani.
Atani said the prominent political commentator was survived by his wife and children.
He said: “We lost Barr. Jesutega Onokpasa, may his soul rest in perfect peace.”
Meanwhile, another Facebook page, identified as Renewed Hope United Kingdom, also paid tribute with a post titled “A Farewell to a Passionate Advocate: Honouring Jesutega Onokpasa’s Legacy.”
It wrote: “The passing of Barrister Jesutega Onokpasa is a profound loss to the Nigerian political and legal landscape.

“As a dedicated lawyer and political commentator, he was deeply engaged in shaping discourse and advocating for his beliefs.
“May His Soul Rest in Perfect Peace. Amen.”
Onokpasa, who served as a member of the APC’s Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 general elections, passed away under circumstances yet to be disclosed.
He contributed to the party’s Publicity Committee, gaining recognition for his political analysis and unwavering support for President Tinubu on television.
