While sharing the platform for the first time in the on-going election campaign with the Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial face, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday accused the Prime Minister of lying on the issue of Chinese aggression and tackling the Corona Virus crisis.
Launching his campaign from Hisua in Nawada, Rahul alleged that China had occupied 1,200 square kilometres in Ladakh yet Prime Minister had repeatedly lied before the nation on the issue. The Congress leader also referred to the martyrdom of 20 Indian soldiers in this context.
He discussed in depth as to how the migrant labourers were left to fend for themselves in the time of crisis in the post-lockdown days. They had to walk thousands of kilometres to their homes, especially in Bihar. In the process they were provided no aid or help from any government agencies, he thundered before a massive crowd.
Rahul asked Modi about his promise to provide two crore jobs annually.
Speaking on the occasion the leader of opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav asked chief minister Nitish Kumar as to why he is not raising the demand of Special Category Status for Bihar. At the same-time he asked the Prime Minister about his 2015 Assembly election promise of Rs 1,25,000 crore special package for Bihar. Why is Nitish silent on it when there is double engine government?, he asked.
He once again ridiculed Nitish’s assertion that Bihar could not be industrially developed because it is a landlocked state and asked as to how so many industries have come up in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab etc. Are they all near the sea coast?, Tejashwi questioned.
He said that RJD supremo Lalu Prasad as the Railway Minister of India brought industries in Marhaura, Parsa and Madhepura. Were these places near the sea coast, he asked.
