TNW, March 23. The National Task force for COVID-19 Constituted by Indian Council of Medical Research has approved the use of Hydroxyl- Chloroquine as preventive medicine for health-care workers and for people who are looking after the Corona infected patient from close proximity.
The advisory contained detailed information of eligibility, doses, contradictions and other considerations for its uses.
The advisory reiterated ‘that the intake of the above medicine (Hydroxyl-Chloroquine) should not instill sense of false security’ among health workers and ‘they should follow all prescribed public health measures’.
