Twenty-three leading health experts of India have written to the Union health minister, NITI Aayog and Department of Bio-Technology seeking investigation into the death of 19 health-care workers, after taking corona virus vaccine.
Health secretary Rajesh Bhushan and member of NITI Aayog, Vinod K Paul, did not accept that the deaths were caused by vaccine doze as the post mortem report makes it clear that the reason of their death is something else.
The vaccination drive was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 16, 2021. By that rate almost one person is dying every day after taking the vaccine. The first death took place in Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh within 30 hours after taking the shot.
In most of the cases the post mortem reports attribute cardiac arrest as the cause of the death.
According to the letter: “Though the district or state officials have stated that none of the deaths are related to the vaccine, the reports of the district, state and National Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFI) Committees on the assessment of these deaths and other serious AEFIs have not been released.”
The letter further said: “No details of who investigated the deaths, and the methodology used for each investigation, have been made public. The national committee has an obligation to investigate possible patterns in causative factors for these deaths.”
Prominent among those who wrote the letter are T Jacob John, Malini Aisola and SP Kalantri.
