Ending all speculations of film actress Kangana Ranaut joining the BJP, the Bihar election in-charge of the party and former chief minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, said on Monday that his party does not need any such personality as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is “our biggest star”. He rejected the rumour that Kangana, who has returned to Manali from Mumbai on Monday, would soon join the saffron party and campaign in Bihar for the National Democratic Alliance.
“We don’t need any star as we have Narendra Modi who is the BJP’s biggest star and the nation’s superstar. Because of him we won in the country and we will win everywhere,” said Mr Fadnavis, who is camping in Bihar after made election in-charge of the state.
As assembly election is round the corner in the state and Kangana has emerged as the strongest supporter of local hero Sushant Singh Rajput, news started doing the rounds that she may join the BJP and thus open a front against the Shiv Sena. However, independent political observers are of the view that it is immaterial whether joins the BJP or not as she had already worked so much at the instance of the saffron party keeping in mind the polls in Bihar.
Earlier, Kangana tweeted before flying to Manali, “With a heavy heart leaving Mumbai, the way I was terrorised all these days constant attacks and abuses hurled at me attempts to break my house after my workplace, alert security with lethal weapons around me, must say my analogy about POK was bang on.”
