Hours before the saffron party’s Vision Document released on Thursday promised free vaccine for Corona Virus for voters of poll-bound Bihar three top BJP leaders fell in the grip of the pandemic. They are deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, party spokesman, Syed Shahnawaz Husain and former Union minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
Incidentally, till a couple of days back Sushil Modi has been claiming as to how successfully Bihar government has overcome the challenge of COVID-19. Now he has been rushed to AIIMS, Patna, after being tested positive. However, the Vision Document of the BJP, that is manifesto for Bihar election, has evoked sharp reaction from two former chief ministers of different states.
Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah tweeted and asked from where the BJP would bring money for free vaccine. His former UP counterpart Akhilesh Yadav also asked as to why this offer would be only for the people of Bihar. On the other hands panic has started gripping the BJP and Janata Dal United camp following the news that three of the senior leaders of saffron party have fallen ill.
However, some of their critics suspect that Corona has become a sort of an excuse for the BJP leaders to flee from the field as their election meetings are evoking very thin crowd against the massive turn out in the rallies addressed by the leader of opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.
