LAHORE  -  The Government of Punjab has announced a significant reshuffle in the provincial bureaucracy, involving the transfer and posting of several senior officers across key departments. The official notification was issued by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), Section Services-I, on Monday. According to the notification, Capt. (retd) Asad Ullah Khan (PAS/BS-21), who was serving as Officer on Special Duty in the S&GAD, has been posted as Secretary to the Government of Punjab, Public Prosecution Department. He replaces Ahmad Aziz Tarar (PAS/BS-20), who has been transferred. Saqib Ali Ateel (PMS/BS-21), formerly Secretary of Livestock and Dairy Development Department, has been posted as Member of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT), Punjab. The post has been upgraded from BS-20 to BS-21 for the duration of his service in the position. Ahmad Aziz Tarar has been posted as Secretary of the Livestock and Dairy Development Department in place of Saqib Ali Ateel. Ms Saman Rai (PAS/BS-20), previously Director General of the Directorate General of Population Welfare, has been appointed Commissioner of the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission. She has also been relieved of the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, Punjab Population Innovation Fund (PPIF). Waqar Azim (PMS/BS-20), Managing Director of Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Housing Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Department. He replaced Tayyab Farid (PMS/BS-20), Director General, WASA, who had additional charge of the post.Sahibzadi Wasima Umer (PAS/BS-19), Special Secretary, Industries, Commerce and Investment Department, has been appointed as Managing Director of PPRA under Section 9 of the PCS Act, 1974, replacing Waqar Azim. Mansoor Ahmad (PAS/BS-19), Director General of the Directorate General of Mines and Minerals, has been transferred and posted as Director General of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), replacing Muhammad Umer Sher (PAS/BS-19), Director General, Excise and Taxation, who was holding additional charge.Ahmer Nike (PAS/BS-19), Additional Secretary at the Chief Minister’s Office, has been transferred and posted as Director General of the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission under Section 9 of the PCS Act, 1974. Khalid Parvaiz (PMS/BS-19), Additional Secretary, Health and Population Department, has been transferred and posted as Director General of the Directorate General of Population Welfare, replacing Ms Saman Rai. Ms Hena Arshad (PAS/BS-18), Deputy Secretary (Establishment-II), S&GAD, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Health and Population Department, under Section 9 of the PCS Act, 1974, replacing Khalid Parvaiz. Ansar Hayat (PMS/BS-18), previously awaiting posting in S&GAD, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office under Section 9 of the PCS Act, 1974, against an existing vacancy. The changes take immediate effect and reflect a strategic reorganisation within the Punjab civil administration.
