Amid growing concerns over rising COVID 19 cases in some countries, Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday decided to hold a mock drill on December 27 at all health facilities across the countries.
Learning from previous bitter experience of COVID 19 handling, the ministry has decided the mock drill to ensure readiness in the availability of oxygen support, and ICU beds among other preparedness measures in case of a surge of COVID cases in India.
It is necessary that in all States/UTs requisite public health measures are put in place to meet any exigencies, a letter issued by Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said.
