The head of Ram Janambhoomi Mandir Trust Mahant Nitya Gopal Das has been tested Corona positive. He is undergoing treatment in Mathura hospital and would be shifted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath confirmed the news on Thursday.
Mahant Gopal Das was very much present beside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP governor Anandiben Patel, and UP chief minister at the foundation laying ceremony in Ayodhya on August 5. UP chief minister has called for the best medical attention for the Mahant.
According to the Mathura district magistrate S R Mishra the UP chief minister is in constant touch with the medical and administrative authorities and is monitoring the treatment. The Mahant who is getting best treatment in Mathura would be later shifted to Gurugram. Mahant Nitya Gopal Das is the leading light of the movement for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
