The national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, J P Nadda, on Sunday expressed full confidence in the leadership of Nitish Kumar, and said that the NDA would return to power with thumping majority in Bihar.
“The result in the Assembly election would be very much like that of last year’s Lok Sabha poll,” he said. Nadda showered praise on the NDA government’s performance in dealing with the post-Corona lockdown, migrant crisis and floods and said that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre is quite generous so far as helping the people of Bihar is concerned.
Nadda, who is originally from Himachal Pradesh but spent his early life in Patna, was speaking at the concluding day of the two-day (August 22-23) state executive meeting of the BJP, brushed aside all the criticism of the opposition. He addressed the meeting through video conferencing.
The party general secretary Bhupendra Yadav, while speaking on the occasion came down heavily on the leader of opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav. He said that the RJD is one family party and would be wiped out in the coming election. The election in-charge for Bihar and former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis also spoke on the occasion. The two day executive meeting chalked out strategies to contest election in the new situation emerging out of Corona Virus.
